MIDAS was founded by three members – Bobby Cummines OBE, Charlie Richardson (deceased), and Paul Ferris. The initial idea was born when they were sitting around the table at Charlie’s house discussing appalling re-offending rates and how young people were sucked into crime and gang culture by the glamorisation of criminals by the media. Despite the Government’s budget for reducing re-offending each year, the same old methods – used time and time again under different packaging – have had little effect. The MIDAS path is a new, innovative and motivational vision designed to suit individual needs. The idea reflects the perspectives of the victims of crime and real-life experiences of the founders, combined with the expertise of the MIDAS Academic Team. MIDAS never discriminates and is always eager to listen to those who are trying to excel.

We have taken advantage of our in-house architectural design team, lead by Najem Hasan, to design the most Eco friendly building with innovative office space for our partners including a cafe, 30 seated auditorium and of course the heartbeat of the Midas project itself. The project is at concept stage. The client has direct contact with senior political and judicial hierarchy where initial soundings of support have been received for the project, of course the project is far larger than simply the bricks and mortar part we are looking at, this is simply the facilities aspect of the overall project.

The key deliverable of the Project is fundamentally focused at assisting with achieving the government’s objectives in terms of crime reduction, reoffending, benefit claim reduction and employment levels, all of which have significant impacts from a positive view point on government budgets and expenditure.

Phase Two:

  5. Medical support to occupants
  6. Physiology treatments
  7. Open spaces / gardens and outdoor visitor centre
  8. Fitness facilities (gym/ five a side/basketball, boxing, martial arts and physical training
  9. Visitor centre within main Hub.

We hope you enjoy reading our material and watching our DVD, when combined, unveil our visionary approach towards addressing future repeat offenders. This approach is more focused on the causes of crime by using not only a multi-agency team but which also include the likes of the founders of The MIDAS project, Mr. Bobby Cummines OBE and Mr. Paul Ferris. Their combined knowledge on crime is undoubtedly a major contribution towards why The Midas Project eclipses all other programs available on criminal reoffending in recent years. We also acknowledge our partnership with our many academics who have studied crime for several decades too.

We are team players who will provide results because we are willing to do so; an initial step towards making a real change not only within the criminal justice system but also providing those invaluable skills that are learnt on the street before we can understand crime in our world today. It is essential that we need to reach out and connect with the youths of today because they are our investment in our future.

Let’s go ahead and get this started.
